From ambition to action in Georgia & Azerbaijan
Universities across Georgia and Azerbaijan are striving to deliver more impactful, student-focused education – but leadership capacity is holding progress back. Through LEADHEGA (Leadership in Higher Education Development in Georgia and Azerbaijan), we’re building practical leadership skills, supporting real change projects and creating a network that will scale across the sector. The result: stronger leaders, better institutions and lasting reform.
Building leadership capacity at scale in Algeria & Tunisia
As higher education systems reform, strong leadership is critical – but often underdeveloped. Through MHELA, we’re creating a regional leadership academy and certificated programme that equips leaders to drive real change. The result: thousands of leaders supported, stronger institutions and lasting impact across the sector.
Shaping a new generation of leaders in Indonesia
As Indonesia’s higher education system shifted towards quality and reform, leaders were expected to deliver change – often without the support to do so. We partnered with the sector to create PEMIMPIN, a national leadership network and development programme designed for scale. Today, it connects 269 universities, has supported over 1,200 leaders, and is driving sustainable change across institutions and the wider system.
A catalyst for leadership reform in Moldova
Moldova’s universities are facing a critical time – greater independence, rising pressure and leaders without the support they needed to navigate it. We partnered with the sector to co-create a practical leadership programme, MHELM (Moldova Higher Education Leadership and Management) grounded in real challenges and designed for lasting impact. Today, it’s the national standard – empowering 350+ leaders, driving change across institutions and strengthening the future of higher education in Moldova.
